I have been working with Karen and Richard for the last 15 years on various projects and in various locations. Starting with severalTraditional gates with an organic twist. The brief was for the new gates to link with the kitchen garden they sat in. This then was followed by sculptural planters and obelisks to the front and back of the house.
A major project was then embarked upon in the shape of a new outside pool and pool house. Modern design and a different way of thinking was required to fit the client’s brief. Corten steel was to be the material of choice and after brief design period with very useful input from Karen herself a plan and style was agreed upon. One large set of gates and panels with seed heads a smaller double set of gates in the style of blades of grass a poppy seed head single gate and a small rockery sculpture. Following on from this a loverly job in Cornwall. Two stainless steel gates one large with sea scape and shoal of fish the other a single gate on the cliff path.
lam in regular contact with Karen and Richard and am very lucky to call them friends.
‘Matt has been involved with various projects over the last 15 years-from gates to sculptural pieces His work is not only creative and artistic but precise and shows an incredible attention to detail. He listens to ideas and concepts then develops the project in his own inimitable style. Naturally brilliant is how I would describe his work and vision. Karen May’
